January 2012 Update:

13 Months. Very hard for us all to believe that this little diva girl, traversed the nation and put her paw into the hearts of so many.  Pearl left us for the Rainbow Bridge in the arms of her forever Mom Synthia, yet somehow I feel we all were there with her.  The miracle of 13 months of being loved and pampered, catered to and adored. Miracles DO happen, because of every one of you.  We shall miss our Pearl more than words can say - in honor of Pearl, please keep Wishing upon a star!  Until all hounds are no longer homeless - 

We love you Pearl.

 

UPDATE - July 2011:

Because of all the incredible support, Pearl has found her forever home with Synthia Ross and Kahuna & Zuma.  Pearl drove across the country to her new estate in New York with her family and currently is busy sleeping on every cushy bed available and keeping those boys in line.  The miracle happened for Peal - because of all of you! On behalf of Pearl and the hounds -  Thank you for happily ever after!

As we helped AZ Mikey Wolfman to the bridge on December 2, a little wandering girl was found by Animal Control.  The Holidays are approaching and this sweet girl is in pretty bad shape.  She will need multiple feedings daily, supplements, medications, bloodwork, exams and tests.  We may or may not be able to save her as she is in such bad shape - one thing we DO know... she does not deserve to end her life scared, lonely and without lots of love.  Sometimes rescue is about giving a displaced soul love and warmth as they near the end.  Maybe we will have a Holiday miracle for this little "Pearl".  That is what we are working for!

Without donations to keep the doors open, Pearl and the hounds like her will have nowhere to go.  It's been a hard year on rescue groups everywhere, the economy is down and donations are down. Incoming hounds are UP. Grants are ever decreasing and some foundations are sending out notices of no funds themselves. 

Can you please give a year end donation to help Pearl and her friends have a Happy and Warm Holiday as she tries to recover?   There is no amount too small - every penny saves lives - food, vet care, heat, clean blankets, helping hands - a special treat....  is that really so much to ask for our precious fur-angels?
