Help us provide for Tueful & Leiben

A special situation and care, for two special boys and their family.

Last night, an email alert was forwarded from one of our West Coast Broad Affiliates - Jeri at San Diego Basset Rescue.
THe email read with desperation - a Military husband and wife, being relocated for duty had -2- young basset boys and no options for the hounds to be taken care of while they serve this country. Not wanting the boys to land in a shelter, they were looking for a rescue group to take them.

I emailed immediately and today the two boys arrived.
Amazingly gorgeous boys, well loved, well socialized - and their male foodslave came with - tears were in his eyes.

It did not take long to know these hounds were loved and well cared for, and that at this moment in his humans lives, while the mom-slave is serving her country, and the dad slave is heading out, they would be forced to give up their furkids. We here at Daphneyland had another solution.

Barni and Daphneyland are very proud and honored to take care of the boys during active duty, and will love them, feed them and care for them while their humans protect us all. We will be blogging about the boys activities on this link throughout their stay - so that the humans can "get a letter from their boys" when the chance to check the internet may crop up.

When you visit Daphneyland, please ask about Teuful and Lieben - visit with them, take their photos and post your updates about these special boys here - so the humans can see them while in service.

Tonight, they boys did great. After a long day of play and integrating into the Daphneyland Pack - the boys are cuddled together, Teuful is definitely the leader of the boys, and takes care of his handsome young brother very well. CLeaning his eyes, and making sure that Leiben doesn;t get in too much trouble. Tonight they are bunkingwith 16 year old Junior, and the snores at bed time were pretty loud. Tonights bedtime song was of course - When you wish upon a star - and love is sent to both of you Mom & Dad -
From The Perry Boys at Daphneyland.

We are raising funds to help pay for their food, any necessary vet care that may come up (Leiben is pending a neuter, both boys will need vaccines updated thru their stay)  Their human mom will return stateside to reclaim them, within 6 months.  In the meantime, we need to feed them, bath them, toys and treats and of course the aforementioned vet care.  No donation is too small - it all will help us care for these boys until their paarents safe return.

Please post a message for the human foodslaves - let them know we support out troops!
