Hi!

I began this fundraiser after realizing other individuals with food allergies or special diets struggle financially with the added costs. My food budget nearly doubled each time I went food shopping and at times, it trippled in cost. The reason for the cost increase was due to many affordable or cheap foods contained either one or both of my food allergies. I can practically ignore about 90% of the grocery store due processed food products containing these ingrediants.

I recently had a conversation with a friend with a heart problem, and I discovered that she had the same problem with her food budget. Her budget struggle became worse since she has three individuals living in her household.

With a little research, I discovered a nonprofit in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who works with low income individuals with their food pantry.
