Friends & Family…
First, to my family & friends ~ Thank you for your support over the years, sometimes putting on a “tough” front is easier than it looks.
As most of you know I have had Lupus for almost 20 years. The past few years have been the hardest with the involvement of my heart and the new diagnosis of Pulmonary Hypertension, my world has been spinning. I would like nothing better than to get more research dollars into the Lupus arena; I think there are plenty of ‘little blue pills’ on the market - lets do research on something that can actually help people!
To do my part I will be participating in the Annual Walk for Lupus Saturday September 26th. With all the lung and heart issues that popped up last year participating in the walk wasn’t an option. I may be slow, but I’m going as far as I can and I would like to invite you to participate by joining my team and/or raising money for the Walk.
I understand that times are tough and if you can only give a few bucks it is appreciated (it all adds up).
Your past donations have helped make possible for the 1st new treatment for Lupus in 50 years! Also, the drug study that I took part in for over a year has had great results. And…when it comes to market I will be able to receive this medication due to my participation! Yay!
