My name is Derek Brown and my name is Hilary Ritter, and on October 10th, 2010, we will be running the Chicago Marathon.   We will be running alongside my Dad and Hilary's uncle, Jeff Brown, in order to raise funds and awareness for Neurofibromatosis, or NF.  

My brother and Hilary's cousin Austin Brown,  was diagnosed with NF at an early age and is currently 19 years old.  He is a sophomore at the University of Southern Maine and, thankfully, has shown only minor symptoms of the disorder.

We are running for NF because we love Austin and would love to see him grow up without the burden of this disorder.  Austin is a loving brother, son, and cousin, is loved by others, and we would do anything for him!
