Shelby is the all of the love, happiness, and drama that one child can be. She continues to surprise us with her sense of humor, her acceptance of our limited-understanding of her world, and her completely spontaneous personality. Just when things seem to get stagnant, she will "wow" us with something she's learned or impersonate us with something that she picked up when we had nooo idea she was paying attention.

Last summer we moved to Jenks. We'd toured several schools and decided Jenks was THE place to have our daughters. The special education program is absolutely amazing and the school itself and STAFF have continued to exceed expectations at every corner. Shelby has thrived in this new, happy, bright learning environment and we are SO thankful to have our girls enrolled there and thankful to have the teachers that actually love and respect the children.

This run is for a cause that is very evident in our daily lives. The Tulsa Autism Society truly gives back by hosting events from helping the siblings understand why things are the way they are, exploring feeling that they might have as a sibling of a child with autism and also holding private events for these families affected by autism. This is a HUGE chance for some of these families that are so secluded from the rest of the world because it can be so hard to get out. I urge you to help by running/walking with us as part of our team, or to please make a donation and support this cause.

Shelby also has 2 sisters. Her older sister, Mallory, is 9 and her younger sister, Samara, is 6 years old. All 3 girls are typical girls with their drama. They all fight over clothes, toys, books, tv shows,and who rides shotgun...sometimes over "She's looking at me!". It's never a dull moment at the Bell household!!
