Hi Everyone,

We just wanted to remind you that we are very excited to again be walking in Al's Run/Walk on October 10th 2009 for our little friend Anthony Gomez. 

Anthony is Emily's dear friend Sophia's little brother and he is a joy to have in our lives.   Lil' A, as he is affectionately known, was born with several "unrepairable" heart defects.  However, the amazing team at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin is in the process of  "rewiring"  Anthony's heart to work despite the defects.  Anthony had is 4th and hopefully final surgery on July 24th, 2008 and he is doing remakably well.  His mom Sarah, said that for the first time in almost 4 years his skin in not tinted blue from lack of oxygen!!  What a miracle!!!

Anthony's parents, Sarah and Dave, have said "No other hospital in the world has better outcomes than Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.  We are truly blessed beyond words to have this facility available to us. Our dream for Anthony is not just that he survives, but  that he thrives.  The amazing team at the Herma Heart Center is working tirelessly to make this dream a reality for us and for many other families fighting the same battles we are.  Please know that your donation is so much more that a gift, it is an investment in the life of our son, Anthony, and in the lives of countless children like him!".
