I remember the first day I walked into the Cancer Support Center. It was less than 24 hours after I received the diagnosis that would forever change my life. The Center provided essential information and hope throughout my treatment and beyond.

I have seen the Center provide life saving information through its programs and support groups to many people. Due to poor patient care, one patient was planning to stop treatment. Support group members gave her options that could make the difference between life and death.

Some survivors, like me, come to the Center early in their journey. Others struggle for years before arriving at the Center's door. All, however, are able to receive much need help due to the Center's existence.

The Center relies completely on grants and donations to provide its invaluable services to people throughout the south suburbs and northwest Indiana.
