Hi everyone!

 

Joe and I are participating in the 2009 St. Louis Buddy Walk on June 14th to help raise money for children with Down Syndrome.  As many of you know, our Grandaughter Kylee has Down Syndrome and has underwent major reconstructive open heart surgery.  The surgery was a major success and she is doing very well now!  Surgeries like the one our Grandaughter had are very costly and some families may not be able to afford these surgeries or the necessary hospital visits.  Please help us by sponsoring us for the walk, so we can be a blessing to other children just like our Kylee. 

Just a quick update!  Our baby girl was only able to gain 3 - 4 pounds in her first 5 plus months of life.  But in the 2 weeks since her open heart surgery, she has gained nearly 2 pounds.  She is more active and feeling great. 

Well we got some bad news about our baby later today.  She had her first appointment with her cardiologist today.  They found a problem and are going to have to go back in and redo her surgery.  One of the holes has a tear in it.  Please continue praying for her and mom and dad!
