Birthday Club is an extension of my work as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). I've volunteered as a CASA for nearly 3 years, working with kids in foster care.

I had a young boy assigned to me, and when it came 'round his birthday, I asked what he wanted to do to celebrate. He answered with "I'd like to have a birthday party. I've never had one before." While it broke my heart, it also set in motion a plan to bring birthday parties to more children.
