Lucky hounds
Hi, Angel, and B.J. here. We are doing this in memory of our grandfather Bubba. He was a great hound he took care of all the hounds in the house and showed the fosters the ropes. He allowed two bassets from Suncoast basset rescue to come live with us. He told us we always had the good life and we needed to share that with others in need so we did what we were told. We opened up our toy box and started to share everything we had which included our slaves. But he was right they needed to know what love was. Lucky boy came to Suncoast basset rescue from a shelter on June 30, 2005 which is the day he came to live with us as a foster which turned out to be forever he had heartworms and was a bit wild after a few months with us he adjusted well to the bellyrubs and treats and the napping in the rocking chair and learned the basset manners from our grandfather Bubba. Lucky boy is happy to have this second chance in life. They only problem we have with him is he is a bed hog. He found out what it is to sleep in a bed now and doesn't leave much room for us but my grandfather Bubba told us we had to understand and be nice so we are. We also have Lucky girl who is blind she was found wandering the streets of Miami and came into Suncoast basset rescue and they placed her with us in December 2005 which made her so happy as she has the resort style life now a swimming pool and her own bed and no canned food for her. Our grandfather Bubba told us we had to take special care of her and if she bumped into something one of us or our grandfather would go to her side to lead her until she got used to the house. My grandfather Bubba would even bring her special treats from our little treat machine because she didn't know how to use it so he did it and carried the treats to her. The slaves cook for us yes we are alittle spoiled but just think if it wasn't for Suncoast basset rescue alot of basset houndies wouldn't know the good life they would only know the hard damp floors at shelters or the streets and no one to love them. So please donate in memory of Bubba who is at the bridge now due to cancer. He just loved everyone at Suncoast basset rescue and most important he loved the hounds that Suncoast basset rescue placed in his home with his mom so he could teach them proper basset manners and show them the good life a basset deserves.
We know Bubba would want other bassets to have the same chance at a good and happy life filled with belly rubs and swimming that he had, So Please donate in memory of Bubba so that more bassets can live the happy life and get the help they need.
