RESCUE is the last voice for the dogs and cats that don't have a voice of their own, to tell their story, or to tell the worker at the pound how they will make a wonderful loving pet if they are just given a second chance. RESCUE gives them that second chance. We step in and save as many as we can from the "kill list", sometimes just minutes before they are going to be put down.   

Animal Control took in over 17,000 dogs and cats during just the first quarter of this year (Jan-Apr) (their least busy time). If they continue at this rate there will be over 51,000 dogs and cats impounded in 2009. 60,000 are projected. Most recently, in the last week of June 2009, 37% of the dogs and cats impounded were killed! Yes, these are horrific and overwhelming numbers but, each of you can help. You can make a difference and help RESCUE save and care for more of these innocent dogs and cats. They need US! Spread the word about adopting, donating, and volunteering!!!!!!!!

RESCUE is a volunteer based organization, with over 200 awesome, dedicated volunteers to love and care for these animals until they are adopted. Our volunteers go above and beyond the call of duty! Take for example; last week whe Danny went missing from his foster home, our volunteers were out day & night searching for him. Thankful he was found. Or yesterday when it was 115 degrees (the hottest day of the year so far) our volunteers spent 5 hours doing a car wash to raise money for the dogs and cats!!!!!!!! They are truly amazing and give so much of them selves to help make a difference to the dogs and cats that we have rescued.

Every dollar matters just like every life matters!!!!!!
