Did you know that nearly one million people in the United States carry a hereditary cancer gene mutation which can lead to an increased risk of 80% for breast cancer and up to a 60% risk for ovarian cancer?  We are members of the local Seattle chapter of Facing of Risk of Cancer Empowered (FORCE) and we are seeking donations to support this wonderful organization.

FORCE is the ONLY national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of women and families affected by hereditary cancer.  Now in its 11th year, FORCE provides lifesaving information and resources to families at risk.  Our goal is to raise $5000.00 by the end of 2010.  We are raising funds to support initiatives such as the annual "Joining Forces" Conference, as well as the ongoing work which FORCE undertakes to promote information, support, education and awareness about cancer risk, prevention, detection and treatment through its materials, events, programs and website (www.facingourrisk.org).
