Thanks to your incredible support, NYWC is still here! We will continue to offer more than 1,000 free, unique and powerful writing workshops each year for the homeless and formerly homeless, at-risk and economically disadvantaged young people, seniors, war veterans, the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated, cancer survivors and many others.

This year, to celebrate NYWC's longest-running  workshop, the 14th Street Y workshop for retired adults that I've been leading for 7 years, I'm asking you to support my workshop at the Y. For every $150 this page raises, one participant from the Y will be able to devote a whole day to their writing on June 12. There are 12 talented and dedicated writers in this workshop. They deserve every penny I can raise for them.
