Thank you for visiting my fundraising page and for your interest in supporting my walk team - Hayden's Wild Wookiees. My team is walking to support the Diabetic Youth Foundation and their wonderful staff and programs.

I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when I was four years old. I felt alone and my mom and dad were sad. It felt like I was the only kid who lives with Diabetes. Diabetes is with me everywhere - at school, at birthday parties and playdates, in the middle of the night, and when I dance and play sports. When I went to diabetes camp, I found out that I wasn't alone and my parents weren't alone either.

The Diabetic Youth Foundation (DYF) has helped me learn how to manage my diabetes and be proud of who I am. DYF - especially Bearskin Meadow Camp - has made a huge difference in my life.
