As many of you know, our therapy dog and spokesdog Burt, a fine, 10-year-old Golden Retriever/Saint Bernard mix, had emergency surgery in September for a tumor on his spleen. He had his spleen successfully removed, and the biopsy showed a benign tumor. He will resume his therapy dog work in mid October after making a full recovery.

Burt's emergency surgical bills totaled over $3000.00.
