Feathers Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) Foundation created for the purpose of rescuing animals from neglect, euthanasia, and slaughter.

Circle L Ranch was purchased in August 2006 in response to the enormous need for a horse sanctuary. The combination of the closing of Premarin Ranches in Canada and the huge excess of horses in the United States is resulting in thousands of horses being sent to the slaughterhouse in Canada and here in the US. These horses are very young, very old, or in between. It does not seem to matter whether they are friendly, broke to ride, or have won trophys at the racetrack. If they are no longer wanted,they all meet the same end.
