2/16/12 As you can see, Trooper is doing much better. His abcess is almost healed and he will be left with only a slight scar. Trooper came to "Picnic with Andre" today. His surgery is March 1st for his entropian and he will be ready for adoption. He was affable and calm today at the picnic and will make someone a great companion. 

 

2/20/12 Trooper needs eye surgery to correct bilateral entropion. He is scheduled to have his surgery later this week. Thank you all for your generous donations- this allows us to pay for his eye surgery as well as his abcess treatment. 

2/12/12 Trooper is doing well today. He is a wonderful dog and it appears that he is healing very well. 

2/11/12 Trooper went to the vet yesterday. He is already looking better and is visiting the vet again today. He has to wear a cone (he hates that), but is is very good about his regular rinsings of his mouth, which is open now but is expected to close as the wound heals. He sits obediently for wound care. 

2/10/12 Trooper is at Sun Valley Hope Veterinary clinic today. He is being evaluated and we will be told what the treatment plan is this afternoon. 

Trooper, despite his condition, is a happy dog who loves to run and play. 

2/9/12 Trooper is a 3 year old Sharpei mix who was dumped at the shelter with an embedded string collar around his neck. The collar caused a huge abcess to develop, and Trooper needs a series of surgical procedures to treat this. 

The shelter workers fell in love with Trooper and put out a plea for a rescue to come to Trooper's aid. 

We just picked up Trooper from the shelter an hour ago and he is, despite his condition, a sweet happy dog.
