As many of you know, I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (hardening of the lungs) in 2002 and subsequently needed a lung transplant.  I was placed on the national transplant list on October 2004.  On December 22, 2004, 11:30 p.m., we received the call that changed our lives forever!  A grieving family, in the midst of losing their loved one, decided to donate their son Kevin's organs.  The morning of the 23 December, 2004, I received Kevin's left lung, giving me a second chance in life

Words cannot express how grateful we are for their decision to donate life & we also Praise God for His miracles.  Since my transplant I decided to volunteer and educate the community on the importance of organ, eye, & tissue donation. 

Currently, there are more than 100,000 individuals on the national transplant waiting list.  A single organ, eye, & tissue donation can save 8 lives & enhance more than 50.
