Walk or pledge on Gabe's Team
So, here goes... My sister's son Gabe spent this past year abroad studying and having the time of his life. He came home May 29, 2007 with a growth on his arm. They immediately started getting some diagnostics done to determine what it was. In that first week he was home they also flew up to Sonoma State University to look at the school for this fall. Then they got the news. Gabe has Ewings sarcoma. This kind of bone cancer is particular to children and young adults, and is quite rare. Gabe is 19 years old.
Gabe began Chemotherapy two weeks after his return from abroad.
The good news is that it has not metastasized elsewhere. However, instead of Gabe going "off to school", his challenge will be to beat this cancer.
Gabe has an incredible attitude, great family, friends and doctors that are all standing together to help him get through this. It is not easy, but the prognosis is good.
Please help us fight the good fight by donating to Gabe's Team through this website. It is simple, fast and totally secure.
