**UPDATE**1/22/07--- RJ received the surgery and will be picked up from the vets soon. Donations are still very much needed to cover the vet bill when he's picked up!  Tara, his foster mom, didn't want to wait to get it done, so we're going on "faith" that the money to pay the bill will be forthcoming. It was $2600 for the orthopedic surgery, done by a wonderful vet who specializes in these types of injuries and surgeries, so we know it was done right and he'll have a long, happy life on 4 legs as an outcome! How can you put a price tag on that???  We feel he's worth it....

This one is URGENT, we need to get RJ  surgery to fix a broken leg within 5 days -- please please help with donating or RJ will have to be put down!  He's in a temp cast but needs orthopedic surgery ASAP to fix a badly broken leg.

RJ the pointer got hit by a car and his owner did not have him treated by a vet. Now RJ requires orthopedic surgery to fix his broken leg urgently, before it heals improperly.

RJ and his mama dog were found running as strays and he was hit by a car and turned over to German Short Hair Rescue. The surgery is going to run anywhere from 2700.00 to $3200.00 dollars and does not include any after surgery care and needs to be done ASAP.

RJ is only 9 months old and deserves a second chance!!  Please donate so we can try to save RJ's leg. We are working in conjunction with German Shorthair Pointer Rescue of Arizona to help raise the money needed for RJ's surgery and to hopefully find a new permanent loving home too.
