**UPDATE**Sep 23rd, 2008. Diva is doing very well. Her bloodword came back to show she is positive for tick fever, weak positive for valley fever. She also has parasites, anemia and some electrolyte imbalances as a result. She has started treatment for the tick fever (injections) and has begun oral fluconazole for the valley fever. She also takes a special supplement (liquid multivitamin) to help the anemia and electrolyte imbalances.
Her overall energy is actually very good and she is now playful!!! She loves to play with squeaky balls and gets very excited to get attention from people. She is a very sweet dog--seems fine around other dogs and has a loving temperament.
Diva is expected to recover and has gained a couple pounds already!! She eats several small meals a day and gets lots of attention and care.

LUCKY DOG RESCUE
A volunteer from another rescue contacted us and asked if we could help this skinny Dalmatian girl. She is very sweet and wags her tail when you approach her kennel. I am going to pick her up today. She was a stray at Maricopa County Animal Care and Control.
We plan to do extensive blood work and medical evaluation on her as soon as possible and would really appreciate donations toward her vet and boarding bill. Until we find a foster (contact us if you'd like to give her a temp place to stay!) she will be boarding at a kennel/vet hospital. We would REALLY like to get her into a comfy home where she can get lots of attention and care and small meals throughout the day to help her gain weight. Can you help? If you cannot foster, please consider making a donation toward her vet bill.
