Summer is one of the hardest times for us in rescue. Dogs are being abandoned at records numbers, because people move or simply go on vacation and have no place for their pets.
Puppies are born to homeless dogs and in the shelters at an alarming rate and we are trying to just help these dogs that can’t speak up for themselves.
Our intake is triple of what it used to be just a few months ago. We help whenever we can, but do need public support. Our vet bill skyrocketed this year with more and more dogs coming in with Valley fever, tick fever and overall in poor health. Currently our monthly operating cost is $5000, of which EVERY Penny goes directly to our dogs. ALL of us at Lucky Dog Rescue, including the directors, are non-paid volunteers.
On average a dog costs us $485, while our adoption fee is only $200. We need YOUR help to continue saving lives in Maricopa County.
We are a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Organization and all donations to us are tax deductable.
