**UPDATE**At noon today we received the dreaded call that Bianca passed away. I'm so very sorry to have to report the bad news. Her littermate Bogie is doing very well and is expected to survive.

**UPDATE** As of 9am this morning, Bianca is in critical condition still, but Bogie is pretty stable and his bloodwork looks good, (normal) aside from a very weak positive for Parvo. He has not been vomiting or having diarrhea at this point. He is hospitalized and on fluids so we can catch this early. He is not eating and has a slight fever.
Bianca (the white pup in the pic) has a dangerously low white blood cell count and needed a plasma transfusion yesterday. The vet said she was not sure if she'd make it through the night, it was that bad, but as of 9am this morning she was still hanging in there and they said no vomiting or diarrhea in the last 6 hours or so, which hopefully is a good sign of improvement. Today marks the 4th day of treatment so we're hoping to see a turn around soon.
One of the donors listed below made the comment/question as to whether the pups were vaccinated in our care, and of course, they were. We vaccinate and vet check all of our dogs coming into the rescue, but they still can get sick. Puppies are vulnerable especially when they spend time in the shelter and are exposed to so many viruses. Despite being vaccinated at the shelter and then also given boosters in our care, they still caught Parvo.
Please say a prayer especially for Bianca. The next 24 hours are critical for her survival. We hope to see improvement soon.

Bogie and Bianca were rescued from the county shelter a couple weeks ago. They had been turned in by someone who found them as strays, wandering.
They are adorable 4 month old Shar pei mix puppies. They were fine for the first week or so, but now have both come down with Parvo and needed to be hospitalized.
We think we caught this early enough for them to survive, but they are both coughing and have an upper respiratory infection as well, so the vet has some concerns about the possibility of distemper also.
Please say a prayer that Bogie and Bianca pull through this. They are the most precious, sweet dariling pups you'll ever meet and we're all devastated with this news. They were in a wonderful foster home and were doing so well before this happened. They love each other and were quite happy to play and snuggle with each other before this happened. We also had people interested in adopting them together and it's such a shame that they are now so sick. We hope they can pull through and get into a great forever home.
Please check back on this page for updates on their condition.
