Liggen is one awesome boy and is lucky to have been taken in by Lucky Dog Rescue.  Unfortunately Liggen is suffering from a luxating patella in both of his knees.

The patella is the bone we know as the knee cap. A groove in the end of the
femur allows the patella to glide up and down when the knee joint is bent
back and forth. The patella is what guides the action of the quadriceps
muscle in the lower leg and protects the knee joint.   A luxating patella is when the knee cap (patella) will slide or jump outside of the groove in the femur.  As a result dogs that are affected by a luxating patella have trouble walking.  This type of condition is often caused by trauma.

Liggen will need surgery to fix his knee problems.  Please donate to Liggen's cause so he can get the surgery he desperately needs!
