Please help sponsor Roz' vet bills
**UPDATE**Sorry to have to report that Rozzie passed away here at my home. She had a very serious immune/blood disorder that was exacerbated by a drug reaction and nothing we tried could reverse the course of it. She was a very sweet dog and will be so missed. We are very broken hearted here. She is at peace and no longer suffering. For her first two months with us, before becoming extremely ill, she had a wonderful happy time playing with foster brothers and sisters at home, getting lots of love and attention and experiencing the happiness of being in a caring home. I am glad we were able to give that to her, even if for a short time.
Thank you for caring and trying to help with Rozzie. I'm so sorry to have to report that she did not pull through.
Sincerely,
Lisa Maturo
Rozzie is a very cute, purebred bear coat shar pei. She was rescued from the euthanasia list at the county shelter. She was scheduled to be put down because of a skin problem. Her coat looked moth-eaten and she had a lot of red bare spots. Turns out she has Demodex mange (noncontagious) and we've been treating her for that the past couple months with some improvement.
Roz has now become quite sick again with another mysterious skin ailment and some edema (swelling) in her body. We need to take Roz to a Dermatologist (expensive!) and also to an internal medicine specialist to help us diagnose and treat her illness. Right now Rozzie has lost weight, has a terrible skin problem and has some abnormal liver values that need further diagnostic workup. We are very much hoping this will be a treatable condition and Roz the puppy will become well again and ready to find her new home. She is just 7 months old.
Thank you for helping sponsor Roz' vet bills, we would like to be able to give her the best care possible.
Sincerely,
Lisa
