Ava the Senior Dog, abandoned out from of the shelter...
Ava (we just named her that) was found abandoned out front of Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, tied to a poll. She is probably 12 years old. We found out about her when going to visit the shelters and walking the rows and rows of hundreds of homeless dogs. She was so defeated and depressed looking, it saddened several volunteers from different rescues who saw her.
Thankfully Deb Wilson from Circle L Ranch has come forward to foster her, and she will be sprung from jail this coming Saturday. We are so happy that through the efforts of several people who are coming together to help her, we can give her the Christmas Gift of living out her golden years in comfort. She needs to have immediate surgery to remove a tumor that is hanging from her abdomen. It looks completely operable and should get her back to normal! She will also needs some senior bloodwork and possibly a dental to give her the care she deserves. We would like to raise that for her so she can quickly receive care when we pick her up this Saturday.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support the fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! We're so grateful for all the wonderful dog lovers who come together and make good things happen for senior dogs. They don't deserve to die alone and discarded. Please help her Christmas wish come true!
Thank you,
Lisa Maturo
