The Dickerson Center for Children (DCC) helps by reducing the trauma experienced by children who have been physically or sexually abused; Gather evidence through forensic evaluation and medical examinations to assist in the prosecution of abuse cases; Provide ongoing therapy to assist children in dealing with their abuse; and provide case consultation and coordination services to other providers.  We are a child-focused facility designed to treat children between the ages of 0 and 18.  Seventy-five percent of the children we treat are under the age of 10.

 

Without your donations, we will not be able to assist the increasing number of children who are victims of child abuse.

 

As a non-profit organization, DCC relies on the gracious donations of concerned individuals and businesses.  These donations have helped the DCC operate as a “one stop” resource center since 1995 and have assisted countless physically and sexually abused children begin the crucial healing process.  Our facility has become a “safe house” for children who face the horrendous affects of abuse.  This is possible only through public and private contributions that allow us to operate as a place of healing and hope for children.
