Denise Emmons's Fundraising Page
Hello Friends….Thank You for visiting my personal fundraising page for the Phoenix Children's Hospital!
Last year was very successful! Thanks to everyone who supported my efforts, I completed a 1/2 marathon while raising $2095 for The Phoenix Children's Hospital.
I am partcipating again this year with The Phoenix Children's Hospital's Miracles in Motion Team and a very special honor patient named Hayley. The event is January 18th, 2009...and with Hayley cheering me on, success is certain! Hayley is a delightful 8 year old little girl with smiles and giggles that are guaranteed to melt your heart! We are going to make a great team in this effort.
I am very blessed to be running for Hayley! And, we both have a special place in our hearts for The Phoenix Children's Hospital! As an infant, Hayley was diagnosed with Diamond Blackfan anemia, a very rare blood disease that prevented her body from making red blood cells. As a result, she had to have blood transfusions every 3 weeks. When Hayley was 7 years old her body stopped making white blood cells and she needed a bone marrow transplant. With the support of her family and the exceptional medical care at The Phoenix Children's Hospital, Hayley had her surgery and recently celebrated a 1 year milestone without a blood transfusion. It is for Hayley, and children like her, that have inspired me to raise money for The Phoenix Children's Hospital.
Every dollar counts! Your tax deductible donation will motivate me and bring me closer to my goal. If you cannot donate today, there are other ways to help me……share this website with others, wish me luck, share a new song for my jogging playlist, or just say, “you go girl!”
Thank you for your support!!!
