Metropolitan Homelessness Project offers:

• voice mail service to any person who is homeless in the metro area
• 24/7 respite care (we are working to extend this service throughout the county)
• veterans' transitional housing
• overnight, emergency shelter for men

We also advocate regulary on behalf of our most vulnerable citizens.  For example, MHP was a key agency in rewriting the public transportation ordinance; the rewrite achieved a significant reduction in costs for all riders, especially those at and below the poverty level.
