Thanks for visiting my donation page!

For those that know me well, you know NF is something that is no small part of my life.  It afflicts my wife and oldest son.  Fortunately the symptoms have been mild thusfar.  However, we have already had a few scares, one in particular that changed the way I think about things. . .

So here I am.  I am not much of a fund raiser or event planner, but one thing I do enjoy a great deal is running.  Being able to commit time to train for an event, and still raise money for a good cause, a cause that is very personal to me, is a great thing.

So I am asking for your help.  The doctors and researchers that are working on this are fantastic.  I can honestly say throughout our scares, in particular with our son when he was first diagnosed, the specialists we saw gave me a respect for their profession that I cannot describe in words.  What I have been told is that like many diseases that face us today: our experts need support.  This comes in primarly two forms from those outside of the medical field or industry: prayers and money.

Please help as you can and see fit.  And I will keep up my end of the bargain.  On January 17th, 2010 I will run the Houston marathon.

Thanks in advance.

**UPDATE**

I finsihed the marathon!  My time was about a snails pace. . . but hey I finished and was able to cross the finish line with my son Luke.

Thanks to all for the help and support!  I am going to keep the site up for a few more days as a few donations are still coming via "snail mail".  Thanks again to all that donated, offered words or support, and my family!
