Diane Engles's Piedmont Wildlife Center Fundraising Page
Dear Family,
Since we have decided to give to charity in lieu of Christmas gifts this year, I'd like to ask you to consider donating some of your funds to Piedmont Wildlife Center.
I volunteer at the hospital and serve on the Board of Directors. Planetary stewardship and caring about all creatures are high on my list of important issues and PWC fits in nicely by helping injured animals and also running excellent summer and intersession camps where area children can and learn about nature and wildlife first hand.
The hawk in this picture was brought injured to Piedmont Wildlife Center's hospital and cared for by our wildlife veterinarian. Instead of almost surely dying due to its injuries, it will now be able to go back into the wild. In one of our most hearwarming stories, we returned a hawk to its mate who waited for it for months!
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
