Dear Friends, I am running in the Cincinnati Flying Pig Half Marathon which will take place next Sunday May 2nd, 2010 for my son Diego. I am running to raise funds for Diego and UPA! Cura Duchenne. A Non-Profit organization that seeks to support the finding of a cure for DMD (Duchenne Muscular Distrophy) and to help the Spanish speaking community involved with this disease.
Diego is 5 years and he suffers DMD (Duchenne Muscular Distrophy),
As part of my commitment, I am setting the goal to raise $8,000 which will serve to support specific promising projects that will help us increase the chances of giving Diego and other boys affected by Duchenne a chance for a lifetime and a better life for many kids in need in Latin America and all parts of the world.

Querida familia y amigos, estoy corriendo el medio Maratón “Flying Pig” el Domingo 2 de Mayo del 2010 en Cincinnati. Estamos corriendo para recaudar fondos para UPA! Cura Duchenne y a traves de esto darle mas esperanza a Dieguito y otros niños que padecen DMD.
Dieguito tiene 5 años y padece una efermedad genetica progresiva llamada DMD (Distrofia Muscular Duchenne).
Como parte de este esfuerzo quiero juntar como meta $8,000 dlls. los cuales servirán para hacer viables proyectos prometedores específicos que incrementarán la posibilidad de dar Diego y a otros niños con DMD la oportunidad de vivir, asi como una mejor vida para muchos niños necesitados en Latinoamérica.
