"We ride for Those who Died"

 

Last year Anthony and I had the amazing chance to take part in the Police Unity Tour honoring those Law Enforcement Officers that paid the ultimate sacrifice.  I have to say that it was one of the most incredible experiences that we have taken part in.  There are no words to describe all the emotions that ran through us during our journey.   To look out and see a complete sea of Law Enforcement riders in Blue is amazing.  We were able to experience this through two different positions.  Anthony rode 250 miles by bicycle from Virginia to Washington D.C.  I was a member of the support team which helps feed and take care of the riders.   The most powerful part of our trip was meeting the family of the fallen officer that we rode for.   

  We will again be taking part in the Unity Tour this coming May of 2009.  I will be joining Anthony on the actual 250 mile bicycle ride.  Together we will travel once again from Virginia to Washington D.C.  wearing the  bracelet  bearing the name of a Officer killed in the line of duty.  We feel that this is the least that we can do to honor the Fallen Heroes that protect and serve everyday.   

   Our trip last year was made possible by all of our family and friends that helped support through their donations.  We cannot express how greatful we are to those that were able to help.    Every bit that is donated helps and goes towards the Memorial and the families of the Fallen Officer.   If you would like to donate it is easy and simple through this site.  The website is safe, secure, and immediate.  Please feel free to pass this along to all your friends and family.
