 Many of you don't know this about me but I recently got certified as a crisis counselor this past February.

I have always wanted to take part in an event that works towards raising awareness to a problem that affects everyone in some way. I appreciate that SFWAR puts in the effort to educate the community about this issue.

 Domestic violence & sexual violence are very difficult and private issues that affect people in various ways. I'm participating in this walk to be the voice for those who cannot speak out about the experiences they have due to safety issues. I volunteer for an organization like this to be part of the solution. If we each do our part to support one another and  raise awareness/education about this issue, WE CAN make a difference.

It's my turn to shed some light into the darkness!
