Thank you for visiting my webpage. My name is Don Foster and I will be participating in the 2009 Great Race of Agoura Hills 10K to support and raise awareness for the Caring for Carcinoid Foundation.
The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation (CFCF) is the leading nonprofit dedicated to discovering a cure for carcinoid cancer. Carcinoid cancer is the term used to refer to tumors that originate in the nerve cells that produce hormones, also knows as the neuroendocrine system. As you consider making a donation to CFCF, please know that every dollar you donate will help end the suffering of carcinoid and related neuroendocrine cancer patients and their families. The Caring for Carcinoid Foundation is unique in that 100% of all money raised by the foundation goes directly to research and not a single dollar is used for overhead expenses. Your contribution will truly make a difference!
The tumor started in my pancreas and has metastasized to my liver. I was diagnosed in August of 2008. I am in a clinical trial at Stanford and doing well.
