This is our third year racing in the Silver Paddle.  We finished second our first year and tragically fell in the water last year dashing our hopes of taking home the trophy.  We have been training hard all year by never paddling a canoe and I have spent a lot of hours not working out.  I am confident that we have a 50/50 chance of falling in the water again. 

The real reward is the opportuntiy to participate in an event that gives back to a program we both benefitted from so much.  Scouting was a tremendous influence on both of our lives and we hope that you will consider supporting us as we paddle again this year in the hopes of making sure more young people have the opportunity to particpate in the Scouting program.  Donating is secure and easy through this website and the proceeds will go directly to the Simon Kenton Council, Boy Scouts of America.
