Hi everyone,

Just an update (3/8/09)... I just finished with volunteering for this year. Had a great time... weather was great on Sunday..40 degrees, but skiing in mash-potatoes! Sara had a great day though...much more confidence and completing her turns! Spring bar-b-que at MHS, everyone in good spirits!

Needless to say, this is a tough year for fund raising, but thanks much to everyone who has given for the ski-a-thon. I'll give another update after the ski-a-thon.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts with Maine Handicapped Skiiing.

MHS is a fantastic organization which helps children, adults and veterans enjoy various outdoor activities throughout the year including skiing, cycling, kayaking and golf.

I have been volunteering at MHS several days a month during the winter. At the end of the day I feel physically exhausted, but emotionally excited after helping children, adults and veterans stay active and socially engaged.

On March 21th, I will be participating again in the Annual Ski-A-Thon which last year enabled MHS to raise over $304,000 to support these activities.  This has been a difficult year for all us including the MHS participants. Any amount you wish to contibute will be greatly appreciated. Last year, I personally raised $900. I'd love to beat that mark this year.
