The story of the founding of the JETTE JOGGERS...........................

My brother, Christopher, lived in Provincetown and was fortunate to receive assistance from the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod (ASGCC ). He passed away 5 years ago while living in Florida. Since the first year of the Provincetown 5K Run and Walk my family and friends have participated in  the event help raise money.  

 

 

What does our team name mean???     Every summer I vacationed on the Cape with two close friends and between the three of us we had 7 young children. Frequently, we would go to Provincetown to spend the day with Chris and one of the most memorable experiences for many reasons was our jette walks!!  One of the "young children" who is now 28 years old created our team name in memory of Chris and our famous jette walks.

 

 

Why do we particiapte???     We all participate in memory of Chris and to help the community continue to help those with AIDS. Having watched Chris deal with AIDS and see the help that he received from the communities it is our way of giving back to try to make sure that this help is always available to anyone who has to deal with the disease.   This disease can truly happen to anyone, anywhere, anytime!
