In 2003 a vibrant child named Jessica was taken from us only a week after dancing and singing at Alexandra's 8th birthday party. She had a rare blood cancer - Acute Myelogous Leukemia. It was a great loss to Alexandra, our family and the community as a whole. Since then her mother Sandra, a woman for whom I have great admiration and respect, has dedicated her life to helping families in crisis with pediatric cancer. I have personally experienced living with cancer and how it turns everyones life upside down. I cannot imagine the challenge of having a child ill and having to hold up that child and your family physically, emotionally, spiritually and financially. I can only imagine what gratitude and appreciation I would have for every bit of help that is given. The Jessica June foundation works tirelessly to provide that support.
Angel Nazario, pictured on the right, is a sweet 4 year old boy fighting brain cancer and being treated at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital. Angel is this year's Fancy Jeans Child Honoree.

The mission of the Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation is to provide emergency financial assistance for children fighting cancer to ensure access to basic human necessities. Additionally, the Foundation advocates for and raises awareness of childhood cancer.
