Medical Copays are Preventing
Children with Autism from Accessing Treatment
Today, many families are making the impossible choice of opting out of treatment for their child with autism, simply because their medical insurance copays are too large. Do something about this injustice and help a family today.
Dr. Doreen Granpeesheh is announcing a campaign to raise $50,000 to help families living with autism meet their medical insurance copays. Recent increases in medical insurance coverage for autism treatment have opened doors for thousands of families who previously had no funding for their family’s treatment. However, as medical insurance comes in, other funding sources have made rigorous attempts to stop funding autism treatment. Most distressing is the fact that medical insurance requires families to pay copays and these copays are large enough to force some families out of treatment. Please help us raise $50,000 to cover family copays so no family has to make the impossible choice of going without treatment, simply because their medical insurance requires unmanageable copays. ACT Today will use 100% of the funds to make grants to families who cannot afford their copays for their child's autism treatment. Donate today – any amount helps. Pass this on to everyone you know today.
Thank you for your support. Please spread the word and help us reach our goal of $50,000!

We received this thank you letter from a family who received a grant for a fence:
Dear ACT Today!,
Thank you for providing this opportunity for our family. The grant for fencing materials and installation has helped in so many ways. My husband, a SSGT, is on a 12-month remote tour in Korea, and being new to the Langley AFB area, it has been a stressful few months. The biggest worry was Gavin's night-waking and wandering issues, especially with the close proximity to a busy road through housing, the flightline, and being so close to the water that surrounds Langley AFB. Since the fence has been installed, it has given me a sense of relief, knowing that Gavin will have one more barrier and boundary to keep him safe. It has also allowed for the children to have a safe place to play outside-giving them much needed sensory experiences and exercise.
Thank you so much for the grant. As much as I wish I could, I don't think we can ever express how much we appreciate this and how thankful we truly are for your generosity and kindness. Thank you, ACT Today!
