This marks my fifth year in a row at the Boston Marathon as a member of Team Deloitte. This will be marathon number 21 for me; last year's Boston was number 20, so it appears I am finally slowing down. My body seems to rebel a little bit more each year, making the picture to the left a suitable summary of how I envision race day -- it's always a good idea to stay close to the ambulance! And unfortunately I'm not that skinny anymore.

But I keep returning to Boston each year because of the chance to be part of something much bigger than the race. Along with a dozen or so other runners from Deloitte, we will be raising funds in memory of Ellen Gabriel. We run as part of Team Brigham, and the money we raise is contributed directly to Brigham and Women's Hospital for use in community programs and initiatives for women and families. Team Brigham's fund raising goal for the Boston Marathon is $500,000, enough to really make a difference. Please consider donating to this worthy cause. Thank you.
