Amy's Army
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Amy has just passed the 5 year anniversary of her diagnosis with Lupus. Even though it seems like just a short time ago she was diagnosed, it seems like a long time ago since she woke up feeling 100%. As you can probably tell from this recent photo, Amy is busy being a full-time mom. Langley starts second grade this week and Jolie is gearing up for her first full year of pre-school. As you can imagine, their mother is ready for some needed downtime. She continues to learn how to better "manage" the disease and what her body can and cannot handle. Thanks to incredible support from family, friends, and her daily dose of medications, all in all Amy is doing well.
The Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Lupus Foundation was a great resource during her initial illness. The NW Chapter continues to not only help and support those that are ill, but works very hard to educate and bring awarness of the disease. The local chapter just received a national award for the most money donated towards further research and development. Support and financial donations from people like you are critical to helping us all beat this disease.
Thank you for your support and we hope to see you at the walk.
