Doug Coleman's Wilson's Disease Fundraising Page
Wilson's Disease is a genetic disorder. The body is not able to metabolize and distribute copper as it should. This causes too much copper to deposit or collect, usually in the liver or the brain. When left undiagnosed and untreated, severe disabilities and loss of life are among the devastating results.
Education and better access to proper care are primary goals of the Wilson's Disease Association. You can help us meet these goals. Sadly, the healthcare community lacks awareness of symptoms, diagnosis, current treatment options -- and the need for immediate and extended family screening.
