LITTLE KIDS ROCK IS... a national nonprofit that transforms children's lives by restoring and revitalizing music education in our nation's public schools. WE DO THIS BY... partnering with school districts, training public school teachers in our innovative curriculum, and donating all of the instruments and resources necessary to run rockin’ music programs in underfunded public schools nationwide. WE DO THIS BECAUSE... playing music is more than just ‘fun’ for kids - it is transformational and vital. Yet budget cuts have forced many school music programs to close. These cuts have had a disproportionate impact on schools serving low-income communities. IT IS ALL MADE POSSIBLE... through the generous support of our donors, as well as our Honorary Board Members, including BB King, Bonnie Raitt, Slash and a host of other friends in the music industry. OUR METHODOLOGY: We teach children to perform, improvise and compose the music they love, on instruments they want to play, in the schools they already attend.
