Douglas Sanders' Fundraising Page
As most of you know, I went to Mexico City last year to participate, advocate, and demonstrate at the International AIDS Conference. We've made some fantastic progress since that time. This country has started creating a National AIDS Strategy which we've required other countries to produce for years. The US is finally stepping up to the plate thanks to our advocacy work as well as other AIDS Advocacy Organizations. Also, AIDS Housing is working its way to becoming a core component in the Global AIDS Community. This is the reason that I go every two years to the IAC to advocate for housing for homeless people with HIV/AIDS. Once again, I will be returning to the International AIDS Conference in Vienna, Austria in July 2010. I've been working diligently to raise money to participate in this important work. However, I cannot do it on my own. That's why I'm calling on you. I need your support. I know the money is tight for everyone right now and holidays are just around the corner.
Please consider making a contribution to our work. The difference we can make can and will be tremendous. Not only will you be helping me but you'll be helping send some of our clients participate and advocate for themselves! That's right! That's the most powerful statement - being able to advocate for yourself. And by doing that, they will be able to advocate for their peers and others who aren't able to fend for themselves. Please take a moment and give what you can. $10, $20, $50, or $100 - it all adds up and every cent will be put to very good use.
Thank you for the depth of my heart.
