Team Fidellow - Boston Marathon '09
As 2009 approached, Jenna and Doug decided they needed another adventure to keep their training going. They changed cities, added a new member to the team (Aunt Beth a.k.a. Betty) and planned some challenging training runs in these cold winter months to prepare themselves for the 113th Boston Marathon on Monday, April 20th, 2009. Patriots Day!!
This will be everyone’s first Boston Marathon, yet Jenna will be running her 4th, Doug will try for #2, and Beth will be embarking on her first ever marathon run!
To our friends and family -- We are committed to run on behalf of an amazing charity organization, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and the three major causes under their community health program; Passageway (providing domestic violence services), the Student Success Jobs Program (an internship program for underprivileged Boston h.s. students) and the Connecting Hope Assistance and Treatment Program (to help women with breast cancer as needed throughout their treatment plan).
Together, we have agreed to raise a minimum of $9,000. We are each fundraising separately -- but together overall -- so any donation will go towards our mutual, cumulative goal for this impressive charity and will be doing loads of good!
You can donate here on our page and we are also hosting two fun and fabulous fundraising parties:
-- Thursday, April 9th @ Bowery Wine Co. (New York City)
-- Monday, April 20th a.k.a. "The Boston Celebration Party for Surviving Heartbreak Hill" @ Vinny T’s (Boylston location/Boston)
We'd all like to send a loud and enthusiastic "YOU ROCK!" for supporting us, our run and this very worthwhile cause and we hope to see you on the sidelines April 20th!!
THANK YOU!
Jenna, Beth & Doug
