Unfortunately there are kids like Lincoln who are confronted, so early in life, with the daunting battle against cancer, most often leukemia. On Aug 6-7 my daughter Jody and I will be taking the green flag in the "Race Against Leukemia" at New Hampshire Speedway to raise funds for the UMass Memorial Foundation

The UMass Memorial Foundation raises funds on behalf of the University of Massachusetts Medical School and UMass Memorial Health Care, Inc. Through the careful and responsible stewardship of these funds, the Foundation works with donors to facilitate advancements in medical research, patient care and the education of tomorrow’s medical professionals. Some of the programs supported through gifts to the Foundation include cancer research, pediatric child life services, newborn intensive care, hospice care, equipment needs for research and patient care, and medical education.
