On January 1st 2009 Drew Hoelck, a twenty four year old former Army Ranger, set off from Pacific Beach in San Diego California on a journey across the United States. His journey will take him all the way to South Carolina, where he will finally be able to rest on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.

Drew hopes that he will inspire the followers of his journey to take a moment to consider the many sacrifices that the men and women of our armed forces make to ensure our freedom and the way of life we enjoy. Many of these fine young soldiers give their lives so that we can enjoy ours. In doing so they leave behind loved ones who need our help. Drew and the creator's of A Warrior's Walk would very much appreciate it if you would take a moment to consider these children, and perhaps place a small donation to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation on their behalf.

"Every day members of the special operations community including the Army Rangers, Green Berets, Navy Seals, Marine Force Recons and Air Force Para Jumpers put themselves in harms way for the protection and proliferation of the American way of life. These people selflessly volunteer for dangerous positions to ensure the safety of American personnel at the front lines.  The Special Operations Warrior Foundation has been tireless in its efforts to provide educational needs to the family of fallen special operations soldiers.
