About the Mission:
XMA (http://xmaonline.com/) began work in Peru in July 2005. We will be going to the village of Breu or Puerto Bermundez. It is in the Eastern part of Peru in the Amazon and is very remote. We will fly into the Peruvian capital of Lima, then take another flight to Pucaltpa. From there we will travel in small wooden boats to the village.
The houses in the villages are platform houses made from bamboo with thatch roofs. There is no electricity in the village. We will bring materials to do salvation bracelets and we will do storytelling during the day and show the Jesus film in the evenings. Many of the people have never heard of Jesus before so relationship building will be very important.
I think sharing the Gospel of Jesus is at the core of what it means to serve as a Christian. For years, I have had the desire to go on a mission trip and have always had excuses for not going. I truly believe this could be a very rewarding trip for the kingdom of God. If you feel in your heart to give towards the cost of this trip, it would be greatly appreciated and you would be investing in winning souls for Christ.
Prayer:
If you can’t give that’s fine. Please, pray for the trip
Sincerely,
Keith
